Many people have found that the information on a credit agency report is incorrect. There are debts that are sometimes not removed from the report many months and years after they have been paid off. These will still give you an adverse credit history rating, and it is in your best interest to have them removed.
Financial institutions such as banks and credit card companies purchase this information from the credit agencies. They therefore have at their disposal information to ascertain whether you are a good enough risk to give credit to. This information can be used in corporate dealings and personal finance.
If you are shown to have an adverse credit history, the lender may simply refuse you credit. They may, on the other hand, offer you a lower amount of credit than requested. Due to your adverse credit history, they may also offer you credit at a much higher rate of interest than would normally be offered.
There are many ways to change your adverse credit history and credit score. Obtaining help from a debt counseling service, or debt consolidation service if you are in debt, can eventually return your credit score to normal. It may take many months or years to do this, but it is more financially viable in the long run.
You should also be aware that an adverse credit history might not always be your fault.

No price cut-Petrol and diesel

NEW DELHI:Finance Ministry notification said excise duty on unbranded petrol is being hiked to Rs 8.95 per litre and that on unbranded diesel to Rs 7.96 per litre.Retail pump rates will remain unchanged as the increase in excise duty neutralises the cut in petrol and diesel prices warranted from crude oil price slumping to about $46 per barrel.

Since August, petrol price have been cut by Rs 12.27 per litre on a cumulative basis while diesel rates in four downward revisions have been slashed by a total of Rs 8.46 a litre.
The government today hiked excise duty on petrol and diesel by Rs 2 per litre each to take away gains coming by way of global oil prices dipping to six-year lows.
This is the fourth increase in excise duty on the two fuels since November and cumulatively customers have been denied the benefit of Rs 7.75 per litre reduction in petrol and Rs 6.50 a litre cut in diesel rates that was warranted due to the slump.

You will spend more if you use credit cards. Even by paying the bills on time, you are not beating the system! But most families don't pay on time. The average family today carries $8,000 in credit card debt according to the American Bankers' Association.

Now let's talk about the rebates. If you were using a credit card at 5%, you would have had to have spent $80,000 to get $4,000 rebates on new cars that lost $6,000 of value when you drove them off the lot. That is not a good deal!

When you pay cash, you can "feel" the money leaving you. This is not true with credit cards. Flipping a credit card up on a counter registers nothing emotionally. A study of credit card use at McDonald’s found that people spent 47% more when using credit instead of cash. This is money you could have saved!

If you "have to" use plastic, I suggest a debit card. I use them for travel and the occasional convenience of ordering something over the Internet or phone. Other than that, I use cash.

Personal finance is 80% behavior. You need to cut out habits that make you spend more. You do not build wealth with credit cards. Use common sense. When you play with a multi-billion dollar industry and you think you're going to win at their game, you are naive. You cannot beat the credit card companies.
